A Tribute to Quincy Jones

Several artists, including Amy Winehouse and Usher, are planning to pay tribute to the American producer, Quincy Jones.

According to the Daily Mirror, several artists will be recording an album to pay homage to Quincy Jones.

The project began to take shape when Winehouse met Jones.  She was working with Mark Ronson at the time of their meeting, and they decided to record a few tracks in his honour.  A source told the paper, "Amy first met Quincy backstage at the Nelson Mandela gig in Hyde Park in June."

According to the source, the producer who has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson to Frank Sinatra, was impressed with Winehouse’s performance.  The source added, "Her performance clearly impressed him – he was raving about her."

Other stars rumoured to be recording songs for the disc include Mariah Carey and Usher.
