Katy Perry and her future husband, Russell Brand, are planning a week of wedding celebrations during the month of October, Teen Music reports.
The British comic popped the question on New Year’s Day during a romantic getaway to India. The couple will get married there at the end of the year.
They sent "Save the Date" cards to friends and family, asking them to save the week of October 18-25 for Katy and Russell’s wedding. The cards indicated that guests will need a passport.
The cards mentioned that guests will be contacted with more information.
Katy Perry recently told Britain’s News of the World: "We don’t want it to be a drunk fest of people, just one night and then forgetting about it. We want it to be about love. The wedding will be small. I always have a ton of people around me and I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each other’s lives."
Perry mentioned that friends who did not attend the wedding would be able to join them at the festivities afterwards. She added there will be a big and fabulous reception.
