Authorities in Texas have confirmed that the 20-year-old pop singer was arrested for possession of marijuana, and an investigation is underway.
At the time of the incident, Aaron Carter was driving a Cadillac Escalade and was stopped for speeding. Police searched the vehicle and found cannabis in the car. No other passengers were with Carter.
Carter, who is the younger brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, will have to appear today (February 22) before the sheriff of Kimble County, Mike Chapman, according to People.
