Adamson To Direct Narnia Sequel

Filmmaker Andrew Adamson has confirmed that he will direct the sequel to The Chronicles of Narnia.

Adamson, who directed the first film, will lead the cast in Prince Caspien.  The director was impressed by the critics reviews of his film, which brought huge crowds to the theatres.  Adamson hopes that the sequel will have the same impact on viewers and critics.

Adamson says, "The next one we would make would be Prince Caspian, because that’s the only one with all four children in it. If we don’t make it now, we’ll never be able to because they’ll be too old."

He added, "That Chronicle is set one year after this one, so it would allow for the kids to get a bit older."

When asked if there is a possibility to make all the films from the C.S. Lewis books, he responded, "I would be perfectly happy to make all seven!"

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has earned more than $580 million world wide in just a few weeks.
