Adele bows out of more tour dates

Singer forced to cancel 10 more shows due to illness.

British singer-songwriter Adele has once again been forced to cancel a series of tour dates due to illness, citing a hemorrhage in her vocal chords, reports US Magazine.

After first postponing her North American tour in June due to laryngitis, Adele has called off a 10-stop tour that would have started on October 7 in Atlantic City, New Jersey and finished up on October 21 in Grand Prairie, Texas, her record label, Columbia, announced yesterday (October 4).

"Singing is literally my life, it’s my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job," Adele explained on her official website. "I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever."

The singer plans to work on "vocal rehab" in order to strengthen and repair her vocal chords and improve her stamina.

"I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again. I apologize from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do," she added.

"I know it’s not only disappointing because of the show, but it’s plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability."
