Adoption Problems For Madonna

The adoption of an African child by Madonna has caused an uproar from human rights groups.

According to Contactmusic, several groups are desperately trying to stop Madonna from adopting one year-old David Banda.  Their case will be heard in court on November 13.

Nearly 67 groups have formed an alliance in order to stop the adoption by the 48 year-old star.  The protesters are claiming that adoption rules have not been respected.  Madonna and her husband, director Guy Ritchie, do not reside in the African territory, which is expected of any adoptive parents.

Little David arrived last week at his new home in London with the Hung Up singer.  Alan Chinula, a lawyer for the star, explained, "The hearing has been adjourned… for the judge to hear other parties involved.”

Yohanne Banda, the father of the child, was present and heard the requests from the protesters.  He is afraid that Madonna will be obligated to return the child to Malawi.
