According to the weekly magazine Le Film Français, the Oscar-winning actor will join the cast of the thriller A Very Simple Crime, which will be directed by an expert in the field, filmmaker Barbet Schroeder (Murder by Numbers).
Details on the film have not been revealed, but it is known that Adrien Brody and German actress Franka Potente (The Bourne Identity), will be playing a couple.
Filming for A Very Simple Crime will start in 2009.
The screenplay was written by director Nicholas Kazan, whom Schroeder collaborated with on the film Reversal of Fortune, which was nominated for an Oscar in 1991.
Adrien Brody stars in the upcoming adventure drama, The Brothers Bloom, in theatres on October 24.
