Adrien Brody in The Courier

Adrien Brody will be challenged by the corrupt, criminal underworld in The Courier.

According to Variety, Adrien Brody has accepted a role in the independent action flick, The Courier.

The project will be directed by Russell Mulcahy (Resident Evil: Extinction) and written by the duo Michael Brandt and Derek Hass (Wanted).

The screenplay focuses on a daredevil messenger who is being stalked cross-country by corrupt police officers and rival crime bosses as he tries to deliver a briefcase to a famous  figure of the underworld, who is impossible to find.

Filming will begin in January in Louisiana and Las Vegas.

Adrien Brody will also be featured in Cadillac Records on December 5 and The Brothers Bloom on January 16, 2009.
