Rocker Steven Tyler, 61, fell from the stage while performing Love In an Elevator, during a concert held at Sturgis, South Dakota.
He immediately received help and was brought backstage, before being transported to the hospital. His current condition is unknown at this time.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred after heavy rains hit the site of the outdoor concert.
Tyler’s fall came after the group had performed only three songs. After a few minutes of confusion, guitarist Joe Perry addressed the crowd and told them that the concert could not continue.
Aerosmith began a North American tour in June. The group was to travel to Canada and the United States until September.
