Agent Provocateur packs a stylish suitcase

British lingerie designer unveils retro luggage for stylish travel.

With the launch of their new retro suitcase, British lingerie designer Agent Provocateur wants you to travel in style, reports leblogluxe.com.

Perfect for a business meeting or romantic rendezvous, the leather luggage is reminiscent of old-style luggage from the 1940s and 1950s with reinforced corners and strapping around the body of the case.

The matte black leather exterior has black patent leather detailing and brass clasps, while the interior is lined with an exclusive pink silk Agent Provocateur travel print.

Available in two sizes: the trolley suitcase measures 54 x 38 x 18 cm and weighs 4.2 kg, and the large suitcase is 75 x 44 x 24 cm and weighs 5.2 kg; the pieces are priced respectively at $1,590 to $1,990.

Last week. the brand announced the upcoming opening of a new luxury lingerie boutique next spring on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Agent Provocateur has also expanded its offerings by adding sunglasses, cosmetics and bedding to their line of products. The brand is well-known for its line of lingerie, swimwear, shoes and other accessories.

Founded in London, England by Joseph Corré, son of Vivienne Westwood, and his now ex-wife Serena Rees, the first Agent Provocateur store opened in Soho in 1994. Rees, who was tired of seeing such drab undergarments for women, came up with the idea to start a lingerie store that was filled with colourful and fashion-forward lingerie.

The couple initially set out to sell the best lingerie from around the world, but were unable to find what they liked, and decided to create their own brand. After their 2007 divorce, Agent Provocateur was sold to a private equity house, and the company has since expanded into 13 countries with over 30 stores.
