Air Canada flies to Athens and Barcelona
In a move to consolidate its position as Canada’s biggest overseas carrier, Air Canada has announced new flights to Barcelona, Spain and Athens, Greece.
Greece is filled with history and its recent deep recession could work in your favour by making your visit very affordable. You can now fly to Athens three times a week from Toronto and Montreal. Toronto offers departures during the summer on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Montreal offers the same opportunity on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
As for the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain, flights will depart these two Canadian cities in that direction three days a week as well. Flights leave Toronto on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and fly out of Montreal on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
All flights will be on 240-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
Ben Smith is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada. He comments: "Air Canada’s new non-stop summer services to Athens and Barcelona from both Toronto and Montreal will offer customers even more convenient options for planning vacations and visiting friends and relatives on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to resuming our summer services to various destinations across Europe, leisure travellers will gain access to Barcelona and Athens which are important ports of call for cruise lines."
