FemaleFirst reported that the Canadian singer’s recent album, Flavors of Entanglement, features songs inspired by hard times in her relationship with actor Ryan Reynolds.
"This album was like a life raft. I wanted my own personal story to unfold as it was happening," described Alanis.
Some lyrics from the track Straightjacket say, "I don’t know who you are, talking to me with such f***ing disrespect."
Morissette and Reynolds dated from 2004 to 2007, and were engaged at one point. Reynolds is now engaged to actress Scarlett Johansson.
