Alanis Morissette will be joining the cast for the film adaptation of the science-fiction book by Philip K. Dick entitled Radio Free Albemuth.
The pop singer expressed, "I am a big fan of Philip K. Dick’s poetic and expansively imaginative books. I feel blessed to portray Sylvia, and to be part of this story being told in film."
Sylvia is an elegant singer who appears in Nick’s visions. He is a manager at a record company, who will be played by Jonathan Scarfe. After appearing in his thoughts, Sylvia will start to work with Nick.
The movie will be directed by John Alan Simon who also wrote the screenplay. It will be filmed in Los Angeles.
Morissette has done some acting in the past. Last year she played in three episodes of the television show Nip/Tuck.
