Alanis Morissette Stars in Weeds

Alanis Morissette will star in the new season of Weeds.

Canadian singer Alanis Morissette will be on television this year when she stars in the popular series Weeds.

Morissette, who received several Grammys for her album Jagged Little Pill in 1996, will play Dr. Audra Kitson, an obstetrician who treats Mary-Louise Parker’s character in 7 of the 13 season episodes.

Jennifer Jason Leigh will also be a guest star in the fifth season.

The first show will air on June 8 on Showtime. The series has been nominated 8 times for an Emmy, but has never won a single statue.

It is unknown at this time if an Alanis Morissette song will be used in the series.
