FemaleFirst reported that just one day after Valentino Garavani announced that he will be withdrawing himself from the world of fashion, Valentino Fashion Group announced that Alessandra Facchinetti would be their new director of collections for women.
The designer who worked for Gucci just before quitting takes care of the designs at Valentino. Valentino, 75, will do one last collection before retiring. His partner Giancarlo Giammetti will also be retiring. The management at Valentino are convinced that Facchinetti will be able to keep up with the philosophy of the group.
