According a report in Women’s Wear Daily, Lacoste called on Alexa Chung to become the new face of its next fragrance.
The brand has not yet released the name of the fragrance which Chung will represent. It is scheduled to be launched in January 2011.
Alexa Chung is well known for her fashion sense. She created a capsule collection for the Madewell brand last February. Designer hand bag company Mulberry also created a bag for her called the "Alexa."
Alexa Chung also posed for Urban Outfitters in its early days and was a muse at one time for Pepe Jeans. However, this is the first time she will become the face of a fragrance.
This also marks a first for the Lacoste brand. It has never before asked a female celebrity to represent one of its fragrances.
