Alice Cooper in favour of Led Zeppelin reunion

Rock legend expresses confusion over Robert Plant’s refusal to reunite with his legendary band.

Rock legend Alice Cooper has expressed disapproval and confusion over Robert Plant’s refusal to reunite with Led Zeppelin, reports Spinner.

Although the performers are both now 62 and each rose to his respective fame during the ’60s and ’70s, Cooper has remained deep in the classic rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, while Plant, former Zeppelin frontman, has said that he feels too old to be playing classic Led Zeppelin tunes.

"What is so hard? Jimmy Page wants to do it. John Paul Jones wants to do it. And they got Bonham’s son, who is a killer drummer. All they need is Robert Plant. But what is Robert Plant out there doing? Playing folk music! What is he doing?" Cooper expressed his puzzlement during an interview with the Palm Springs Boxing Examiner.

Led Zeppelin broke up in 1980, following the death of their drummer, John Bonham. Since then, Plant has enjoyed a successful solo career, and while he has participated in a few reunion performances with his Zeppelin bandmates, he remains largely negative towards the idea, saying that there is "nothing worse than a bunch of jaded old farts."
