Alice In Chains Returns

The group Alice in Chains is getting ready to make a big comeback this fall.

Five years after the death of their singer, the band will release the album Black Gives Way to Blue on September 29 via Virgin Records.

Frontman Layne Staley died of a heroin and cocaine overdose in April 2002, and was replaced by William DuVall in 2006.

The album will be the first studio album for the group in 14 years. Their last album, entitled Alice in Chains, was released in November 1995.

The Seattle group will be performing at festivals this summer and is planning to head on tour this fall.
