Last Thursday (October 14) In New York City, Alicia Keys, 29, and husband, rapper and producer Kasim ‘Swizz Beatz’ Dean, 32, welcomed their first child, little Egypt Daoud Dean in New York, according to reports from the couple’s representative to People.
Beatz already has three children from a previous marriage. The singer’s pregnancy was announced last May.
At that time, the couple did not yet know the gender of their unborn child, and said they were just happy to start a family together. Beatz said, “Alicia is definitely one of those great parents-to-be. She’s super ready. Super glowing. Super happy.”
Keys and Beatz were married July 31, 2010 during a private ceremony on the French island of Corsica, on the shores of the Mediterranean.
