The R&B singer will follow the path of Christina Aguilera, Pink and Courtney Love by collaborating with Perry, who has a strong writing reputation. Keys will team with Perry to write songs for a disc that is expected to be released in October.
Keys told MTV, "I’m actually really interested in working with the young lady that I’ve been working with on my album. I can’t explain how excited I am about this music. (Perry has) written a tremendous amount of incredible work. And us together, us as both being musicians and being writers has really created this incredible music.".
