Amanda Seyfried to promote upscale beauty products

Dear John actress chosen as the new face of luxury brand Clé de Peau Beauté.

Actress Amanda Seyfried, 25, has signed on to become the brand ambassador for luxury beauty company Clé de Peau Beauté, reports Coco Perez.

The star was photographed by David Sims for the spring 2011 ad campaign, which will launch in Japan this month before coming to the U.S. in March.

A high-end Japanese brand, Clé de Peau Beauté offers a line of skincare and makeup products marketed to upscale consumers.

Seyfried began modelling at age nine until age 17, when she began her acting career. After a few recurring roles in soap operas, she got her big break in 2003’s Mean Girls. After roles in several critically-acclaimed movies, she rose to fame as series regular Sarah Hendrickson in the HBO series Big Love.

She got her first leading role in the 2008 big screen adaptation of Mamma Mia!, where she starred alongside Meryl Streep. More recently, she has featured in box office hits Letters to Juliet and Dear John.

Seyfried will next grace the big screen in Red Riding Hood, playing main character Valerie, who seeks the help of a hunter to deal with a werewolf threatening her village. The movie, produced in part by Leonardo DiCaprio, is scheduled for release in March.
