The singer, whose personal life has become a major interruption to her music career, was let go from making a Quincy Jones tribute album.
Winehouse began working on a song almost a year ago, but her numerous escapades have kept her out of the studios since then.
According to a source, Jones, who personally invited the singer to perform on the album, is tired of her antics and dropped her from the project.
Producer Mark Ronson, who was expected to work with Winehouse on the song, has also thrown in the towel. "The track isn’t finished and she’s not around," Ronson said. "If she’s not here then, unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about it."
The British star was recently hospitalised after she botched her comeback performance in Saint Lucia.
