Amy Winehouse gets new digs

The singer is buying a London house valued at $3.5 million US.

The British singer left Camden in north London last year to deal with her drug problems. Music-News reports she wants to return to the neighbourhood where she lived with her ex-husband. She has since reconciled with Blake Fielder-Civil.

A source says, "Amy has been house-hunting for months and finally found somewhere that meets all her needs. It is large and homely and has everything."

The new house has four bathrooms, a gym and space for a recording studio where she can record a follow up to her mega-hit Back to Black.

The star hopes to take possession as quickly as possible. She is living in a hotel right now while waiting to move.

Last December, Winehouse was treated for nervous exhaustion after losing consciousness in her home. A friend of the singer explained that she had not starting taking drugs again and was drinking very moderately.
