The British singer is back in the tabloids following a reported assault, according to Britain’s The Sun.
The incident took place at the Milton Keynes Theatre in Buckinghamshire, England on Saturday (December 19). Police confirmed that there was an assault incident reported at the theatre.
During the performance of Cinderella, Winehouse became very agitated and began to insult the actors in the play, which included Mickey Rourke.
Ushers tried to return the singer to a private box, but the theatre manager, Richard Pound, suffered several punches and kicks from Wineouse before her own security staff removed her from the building.
"Amy was invited by a friend of hers starring in the show. She wasn’t arrested, and she hasn’t been questioned by the police yet," a source told People magazine.
Police confirmed that there hasn’t been an indictment, but an investigation is underway.
Winehouse was accused of assaulting a fan at a charity event in 2008.
