The British singer disappeared from the music scene last year, due to problems with drug and alcohol abuse.
After a stint in a rehab centre, followed by eight months in the Caribbean, Winehouse has now beaten her demons, and is ready to take charge once again of her music career.
The singer returned to England earlier this year, and according to her parents, she seems to have finally rid herself of her dependence problems.
Now, reps from Winehouse’s record label say that she is working very hard on her third album, expected to be released in 2010, reports Orange News.
Darcus Beese of Island Records revealed, "I’ve heard a couple of song demos that absolutely floored me."
