According to The Sun, Winehouse was hospitalised for the third time since February. This episode was reportedly due to having too much to drink.
The 25-year-old singer was in her St. Lucia villa in the Caribbean, when her friends decided to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital, where she was released the same evening.
After the incident, Winehouse’s gang was lead to believe that she won’t be in top shape to perform at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on May 31. “Amy’s gig might as well be cancelled now. She’s not going to make it. It’s not worth her while even if she does make it, it will be in shambles," a friend told the tabloid.
