An Illness for Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with impetigo, which is contagious.

The troubled singer, who has done everything to hide the boil on her left cheek, was diagnosed with the disease after a visit to a doctor.

A spokesperson for Winehouse confirmed the news, saying, "Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she has been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she has been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days."

In the meantime, the spotlight will turn today (March 3) to the star’s drug use, when the managers of her record label, Universal, meet to discuss her future.
