Rapper Akon is following in the footsteps of a lot of celebrities by launching two new fragrances for men and women. Coco Perez reports that the bottle the perfume comes in is sure to draw attention.
The bottle of the star’s first fragrance is shaped like handcuffs. It seems to be getting more media attention than the scent itself.
Akon reveals that 10% of sales from Konvict Femme and Konvict Homme will go to his organization, Konfidence Foundation. It is "dedicated to increasing public awareness of the conditions in Africa."
The Konvict Femme fragrance has notes of mandarin and lemon with vanilla, and almond musk.
For its part, Konvict Homme has notes of lemon and bergamot with a sandalwood, and cedar base.
The name Konvict comes from Akon’s 2006 album Konvicted.
