People reports that tennis star Andy Roddick is the face of a new Lacoste ad campaign.
The athlete was chosen to represent Lacoste’s Challenge fragrance. He is following in the footsteps of actor Hayden Christensen.
Roddick released a statement saying, "I’m thrilled that Lacoste invited me to be the face of its men’s fragrance, Challenge. This fresh, and dynamic fragrance represents well the image of Lacoste as a chic, sporty and elegant brand."
Lacoste CEO Christophe Chenut also released a statement saying, "We’re delighted to be working with Andy as the face of Lacoste Challenge as he is the natural embodiment of the brand’s youthful, modern image."
The ad campaign features Andy Roddick wearing a Lacoste black polo shirt.
Lacoste’s Challenge fragrance is a mix of citrus and aromatic lavender. It also contains notes of bergamot, ginger, violet leaves, teak wood and ebony wood. It is available in stores now.
