Angelina Jolie lends star power to documentary

Actress makes appearance in Jane’s Journey about the life of primatologist Jane Goodall.

Actress Angelina Jolie makes an appearance in the documentary Jane’s Journey about the life of her famous friend primatologist Jane Goodall, reports People.

The world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees is the subject of a new documentary which debuts in theaters on September 27.

Jane’s Journey tells the story of Goodall’s life, travels around the world, childhood, work, marriage, children, and eco-activism. Film star Angelina Jolie supported her 77-year-old friend by making an appearance in the documentary in a segment where the two meet up to work on a sustainability project.

"I was delighted when she told me she would be excited to be a part of the film," Goodall said. "Sometimes, caught up in the moment, people promise to give their support but don’t, or can’t come through. That was not true with Angelina."

Other famous friends of Goodall who appear in the film include Pierce Brosnan and Dave Matthews.

Jolie makes her directorial debut on December 23 with the Bosnian wartime love story In the Land of Blood and Honey.
