The Devil Wears Prada star cannot believe she actually agreed to play the role of film icon Judy Garland, whom she will portray in the biopic about her setbacks and her flourishing career.
Hathaway told the New York Daily News, "I think I’m either naive or insane to play her – maybe a little bit of both!"
Fortunately, the 26-year-old actress had the blessings of Liza Minnelli, Garland’s daughter, to star in the Gerald Clarke project, Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland. "I haven’t had a chance to talk to her about it yet, but I understand that as long as I treat Judy with respect – which of course I will – Liza is very happy about it," added Hathaway.
