Annie Lennox exhibit opening in London

Scottish singer will be showcased in design exhibit at Victoria & Albert Museum this fall.

Scottish recording artist Annie Lennox will be showcased in a design exhibit opening this fall at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, reports Music-News.

From September 15 to February 26, 2012, The House of Annie Lennox exhibit at the decorative arts museum will highlight the singer’s unique image and how it has changed and evolved over her 34-year career.

Along with a number of her best-known costumes and accessories, the singer has agreed to loan the museum some of her personal effects, including awards, music videos, interviews and even items from political campaigns in which she took part. Lennox will also make a special film exclusively for the exhibit.

A member of the Order of the British Empire, Lennox first rose to international acclaim in the 1980s, as lead singer for The Eurythmics, and has enjoyed a successful solo career since 1992.

With over 4.5 million items in its permanent collection, the Victoria & Albert Museum is the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design. Admission to the museum is free, although some exhibitions may have an additional entrance fee.
