Another Killers Christmas single

American rockers debut sixth annual Christmas song.

For the sixth consecutive year, American rockers, The Killers, are launching a Christmas song with proceeds going to (RED), benefitting the global organization’s fight against AIDS, reports Music-News.

Performed in hoe-down style at the Cowboys’ Christmas Ball, the single, The Poet-Ranchman of Texas, is a classic 1890 cowboy poem by Larry Chittenden.

To mark World AIDS Day today (December 1), The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball is available on iTunes, along with an EP of the band’s previous six Christmas singles – for the first time – with all proceeds going to (RED).

Donors to (RED) can also get the Killers Christmas song of their choice, free of charge, by supporting the new 2015 Campaign – at www.2015quilt.com – which aims to create an AIDS-free generation by 2015.

The Las Vegas group is also working on their next album, which will follow up 2008’s number one album Day & Age.
