Antonio Banderas shuns cosmetic surgery
Antonio Banderas wants to age naturally.
‘The Expendables 3’ actor – who split from second wife Melanie Griffith, the mother of his 17-year-old daughter Stella, in June -insists he won’t be undergoing any cosmetic surgery to prevent the onset of wrinkles as he gets older.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, the 53-year-old acting veteran said: »I’m not going to touch my face. I’m not going to put Botox and all that s**t in it. No, no, no. I will get older naturally. »
Antonio’s handsome face has previously secured him leading roles in films such as ‘The Legend of Zorro’ and the documentary ‘Truth or Dare’.
The latter starred Madonna as a young woman lusting after the actor and despite rumors that he resented his portrayal in the documentary, Antonio insists he saw it as one big »advertisement » for his good looks.
He explained: »I was at a hotel in Los Angeles and she invited me over for dinner where she handed me a VHS of the film and said, ‘If you don’t like it, tell me and I will take you out of the film. But I think you are gorgeous, I like what you do and so I am kind of being a girl fantasizing about the possibility of having you’ … and I saw it, and all I thought was, ‘Wow. This is like an advertisement for me.’ »
Content with ageing naturally, the Hollywood star revealed that he’s also happy with his view of the future.
He reflected: »I used to be searching for something and I didn’t know what it was but now I just say, ‘I’m fine. I’m OK. I’m not searching for anything. And that is when things start coming, and it all starts to happen again. »
