Arnold Schwarzenegger generous in divorce

Disgraced actor will give soon-to-be ex-wife Maria Shriver higher than expected settlement amount.

Disgraced actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, 63, will give Maria Shriver, 55, a “very generous divorce settlement,” reports RadarOnline.

In May, the actor publicly admitted to having a child out of wedlock 14 years ago with a member of his household staff. Shriver had moved out of the family home, and filed for divorce on July 1.

While The Terminator star has an estimated worth of $500 to $750 million, a source told RadarOnline, “Arnold realizes he is to blame for the collapse of his marriage. Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn’t think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing, and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law.”

Settlement talks between their two lawyers have been underway for months, with both parties wanting to settle things amicably out of the public eye. Schwarzenegger has been paying child support and school fees for their two younger children, Patrick and Christopher.

Shriver’s lawyers have hired a forensic accounting team to accurately assess Schwarzenegger’s net worth. An insider said Shriver, wealthy in her own right, is looking for a fair settlement and to move on with her life.
