Arnold Schwarzenegger halts all projects

Movie star puts acting career on hold until further notice.

After separating from his wife of 25 years and acknowledging that he has 14-year-old child by another woman, the ensuing media storm has caused former California governor and Hollywood movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 63, to put a halt to all acting projects until further notice, reports People.

"At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice," the actor’s entertainment lawyer, Patrick Knapp, said in a statement yesterday (May 19).

"Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines," the statement continued. "This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides."

As more women step forward with stories, and comparisons are being made to philanderer Tiger Woods, a source close to the actor told People, "He feels very bad about the situation. [He is] fully prepared to do whatever he needs to do to rebuild [his family’s] trust."

Maria Shriver, 55, has hired a top divorce lawyer, but has not yet officially decided whether she wants to legally pull the plug on 25 years of marriage.
