Around the world in 80 days or less

A seafaring adventure for more daring travelers.

French tour company Voyageurs du Monde is offering a modernized version of the Jules Verne saga – taking visitors around the world in just under 80 days, via ship, reports Relay.

The tour begins in Morocco and wraps up almost three months later in New York. In between, the ship will stop at Yemen, the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and South Korea before crossing to the New World.

After a visit in Colombia, the vessel will traverse the Panama Canal and make calls at several major U.S. cities before the journey’s end.

The actual tour runs just shy of the 80-day mark, coming in at 76 days and 75 nights. For just over $11,000 a person, travelers get a bunk aboard a comfortable ocean liner in a six-person cabin with private washroom.

Full board is included in the fare, and passengers will get to dine with the ship’s officers. To help pass the time while at sea, the vessel is equipped with a TV lounge, fitness room and outdoor pool. Laundry facilities are also available.
