Gap founders are moving their private art collection to San Francisco.

One of the most important private collections of contemporary art in the world has found a permanent home at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

The collection includes about 1 100 pieces, owned by Don and Doris Fischer, founders of the famous clothing company, Gap.

Among the works they own include paintings signed by Andy Warhol, Richard Diebenkorn, Alexander Calder, Chuck Close, Roy Lichtenstein and Willem de Kooning.

The permanent collection of the Fischers is a must see for all lovers of contemporary art. Experts describe the works as unique and essential quality. The entire collection is valued at nearly one billion dollars.
