Asa Butterfield ‘to be offered role in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’

Asa Butterfield is to be offered the chance to appear in Tim Burton’s ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’, according to a report.

Asa Butterfield is being lined up to appear in Tim Burton’s ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’.

While the ‘Ender’s Game’ actor has still to be offered the role, it’s been reported that it’s only a matter of time before it happens.

Should he accept the proposed role, Asa will appear on screen alongside former ‘Bond’ girl Eva Green, who is set to play the title character in 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of the Ransom Riggs novel, according to The Wrap.

The plot centres on Miss Peregrine and a group of supernaturally-powered children who she tries to protect from danger.

London-born Butterfield is set to assume the role of 16-year-old Jacob Portman, who finds himself inhabiting the weird world after his grandfather is murdered by a monster.

‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ is set to hit cinema screens on March 4, 2016.

The book on which the film is based was published in 2011, while the follow up, ‘Hollow City’, hit stores in January.

And if the upcoming release proves to be a commercial success, a film adaptation of ‘Hollow City’ would be a distinct possibility.
