Singer-actress Miley Cyrus was forced to cancel an appearance at the British premiere of her new film, The Last Song. Orange News reports that the ash cloud spewing from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjöll is the reason the star is unable to get to England.
The cloud is preventing flights from taking off or landing in England. Pretty much all flights in northern Europe are on hold until it disperses.
Cyrus was scheduled to appear in London on Tuesday evening (April 20). Her boyfriend and co-star Liam Hemsworth was also forced to cancel his appearance.
It is not certain for now whether the show will go on without the film’s two stars or if the premiere will be rescheduled for a later date.
The Last Song opened in American theatres on March 31. It stars Miley Cyrus as a rebellious young woman who is sent to a Southern beach town to spend the summer with her dad.
