Ashely Judd To Go Behind Camera

Actress Ashley Judd will be busy with her new title of director.

According to the website ComingSoon, Judd has announced that she will be directing an adaptation of the book "Burning Time" by Robin Morgan.  The actress shared the news at a recent press conference in New York while promoting her film Come Early Morning.

The film will tell the story of an Irish priestess named Alice Kyteler.  When she refuses to give up her land during the Inquisition of the 14th Century, the young woman begins a battle with the bishop.

Judd, 38, explained, "I might fail spectacularly or succeed modestly. I’m going to spend some time doing that this winter and going to India and stuff like that."

Judd’s latest film, Come Early Morning, opens in theatres on Friday.
