According to Britain’s ITV, Simpson won the role over Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera to represent the well-known shoe maker.
The Autobiography singer explained, "You know I’m excited to be a part of Skechers, and I think that it’s fun ’cause I get to wear tennis shoes and I like tennis shoes. So you know I think that the ads are great fun and I’m happy to be a part of it."
At the moment, the 22 year-old star is playing Roxie Hart in the musical comedy Chicago. Her final presentation will be on October 28. Simpson said of the experience, "Chicago has been wonderful – it’s been a dream come true."
