According to FemaleFirst, Judd had the attack on November 25. The 39 year-old actress was shooting her new film Helen at the Ridge Meadows Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. Judd quickly went to the emergency room. A source said, "Luckily, the cast and crew were filming at a real hospital, so when paramedics arrived, they simply put Ashley on a stretcher and wheeled her into an operating room nearby."
Judd underwent surgery to remove the infected organ. Production of the film has been put on hold until the star is back on her feet. Judd plays the lead role in the film, which is expected to be released in 2008.
