Ashley Tisdale French married ‘best friend’

Ashley Tisdale French married her ”best friend”.

The 29-year-old actress tied the knot with rocker Christopher French near Santa Barbara, California earlier this month and though she says making their union official doesn’t feel different, she couldn’t be happier.

She told CBS: ”It felt like I was married before or something–I guess because we act that way. It definitely feels amazing,” she said. ”It feels different but doesn’t. It’s like I married my best friend. It’s the best feeling in the world. This relationship was definitely different from any other relationship I ever had…Nothing is forced. It’s the best feeling ever.”

The couple – who got engaged in August 2013 after eight months of dating – tied the knot on a Monday and the ‘High School Musical’ star admits they chose an untraditional day to help keep their big day private.

She told KIIS-FM DJ Ryan Seacrest: ”It definitely was for two reasons.

”The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8th, and thankfully it landed on a Monday in September.

”Also, I figured it was a good idea, because I figured out like, ‘Oh, I don’t think anybody would figure this one out,’ and that was to protect the privacy of it.”

And Ashley was stunned she was able to keep their wedding a secret because she had been planning it for so long.

She said: ”It’s been something that you prepare for a year. I had to be really quiet about it because I wanted to make sure it was super quiet and intimate. The fact that nobody knew we got married was unbelievable!”
