According to FemaleFirst, the star of the film The Da Vinci Code does not enjoy the constant media attention, and would prefer to return to her unknown status.
Tautou, 27, explained, "I used to think I would retire from films at 40, then it was 30. Maybe I would like to do something more private and discreet with my life."
The young actress is thrilled to be starring in the film with American actor Tom Hanks, who has won two Oscars.
Audrey is already a huge star in France, where she starred in Le Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain. She continued, "For me, acting was a bit of a lazy activity. I never said I wanted to be an actress. I gave myself one year and if, at the end of that time, I hadn’t done what I wanted, I would do something else."
