Kim Cattrall joins And Just Like That… and the web goes wild

Fans of Sex In The City were delighted to learn that actress Kim Cattrall who played Samantha Jones in the cult series, was making a return in person to the cast of the second season of the saga’s new TV installment, And Just Like That

According to Variety, one of the franchise’s most iconic characters, Samantha Jones, appears in the second season for just a moment, enough to bring her character back to life… and set the web on fire in the process!

In this scene, we get to witness the reconciliation between Samantha and Carrie, who have had a rather strained relationship since the first season!

Unfortunately for some, her appearance is not a sign of a continuation of her character…

Back in 2016, Kim Cattrall publicly announced that she had had enough of playing Samantha, as she didn’t feel that the script for a proposed third film did her character justice. What’s more, the star has been at loggerheads with Sarah Jessica Parker for some time now.

In fact, Cattrall reportedly didn’t talk to any of the original cast during the filming of her scene!

However, we’re convinced that seeing the actress who left her mark on more than one generation, for a short while, will be a balm to the hearts of many!

Actor and Scientologist Danny Masterson Convicted of Rape

A jury finally returned a guilty verdict on two of three counts of rape against Scientologist and actor Danny Masterson (That ’70s Show) earlier this week!

It was to the complete shock of his wife, actress Bijou Phillips (Almost Famous), that the 47-year-old actor was found guilty of rape after seven days of deliberation, and this at the end of a second trial held in Los Angeles, the first having ended in deadlock last December.

Getty Images

Recall that in 2017, an investigation was launched against the actor by the Los Angeles Police Department after three women (one of whom was a member of the Church of Scientology and another was an ex-wife) accused Masterson of drugging and raping them during events between 2001 and 2003.

These accusations led Netflix to fire him from the series The Ranch, in which he starred alongside colleague and friend Ashton Kutcher.

This guilty verdict will certainly offer some relief to his victims.

No date for the sentencing announcement has yet been set, but with this verdict, Masterson faces nearly 30 years in prison!

Britney Spears reunites with her mother and shuts down many rumors in the process

After accusing her mother Lynne Spears of betrayal when Britney was finally released from her father’s long guardianship last year, it would appear that the mother-daughter relationship has improved a little, so much so that Lynne was invited to the singer’s residence last week.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CssRIeitCTB/

According to TMZ, the two have started exchanging text messages lately, greatly easing the tension that has existed since Britney’s virulent accusations against her mother.

Lynne, who lives in Louisiana, was flown to Los Angeles and taken to Britney’s residence, where the two chatted for around thirty minutes in the presence of the singer’s husband, Sam Asghari.

Getty Images

This is the beginning of an unexpected family reconciliation following the emotional wounds left by the star’s guardianship, which many, including Britney herself, felt was unjustified!

It’s also a fitting conclusion to a tumultuous few weeks for Britney Spears, who has been the target of several allegations and rumors of significant mental health problems, and even divorce, in the days leading up to it.
