P.K. Subban did not fullfill his promise, but continues his association with the Montreal Hospital

P.K. Subban admitted that he did not achieve his goal of raising $10 million in seven years for the Montreal Children’s Hospital. The former number 76 admitted this non-success to the Bureau of Investigation of the Journal de Montréal.

Recall that in 2015, Subban had pledged to raise $10 million for sick children, and the goal was to raise it in seven years. At the time, was referred to as “the largest philanthropic commitment ever made by a professional athlete in Canada”.

However, it is important to note that P.K. made this commitment in a context where he was playing with the Montreal Canadiens, and the planet went through two years of pandemic, preventing some fundraising activities.

So far he has raised $6.3 million, even though he left the Tricolore six years ago. In order to fulfill his mandate in full, he continues his involvement with the hospital with the goal of raising the $10 million originally promised.

àhttps://twitter.com/JdeMontreal/status/1616169464503877634

“In my eyes, this is a lifetime partnership. I was a little nervous with the pandemic, because I respect my relationship with the hospital. But we’ve always remained close, even after the Nashville deal. There are still some effects of the pandemic, but the world seems to be getting back to normal!” Subban told JdM.

His commitment to the Montreal Hospital will continue until at least 2025.

Selena Gomez reveals her $650-a-day beauty routine

Selena Gomez has a crazy skin care and makeup routine that costs her no less than $650 a day.

A follower of the pop star, who follows her on TikTok, is transfixed by the routine, which she says is “ahead of its time.”

“OK, we need to talk about Selena Gomez ‘s makeup routine real quick because I’ve never seen anyone do everything she does. I have to wonder if she’s on another level,”said Jasmine Darya.

@selenagomez

PSA I got most of these products free. I ain’t just rolling like that everywhere. Use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely. Also use a sponge to wipe eyes to treat eyes delicately when removing make up. K I’m done pretending I know what I’m taking about.

♬ Never Be Me – Miley Cyrus

The 30-year-old artist starts her sequence by cleansing her face with La Mer ‘s concentrated serum , which is worth $500… Except, of course, the products she uses were donated to her. Best marketing for a company, right?

“So, a $500 serum. And she used it with makeup first to break up the makeup on her face, which I’ve never seen/heard anyone do. I feel like this is the fanciest version of oil cleansing I’ve ever seen,” again according to Jasmine Darya.

Next, Gomez uses Bioderma’s $17 Sensibio H2O Micellar Waterwith a white towel to remove her makeup. Her number one fan said she couldn’t understand why she would use a white towel to wipe off her face…

Then, for the environment, Gomez takes care to useDermologica’s $39 multi-active toner with $22 Face Halo reusable pads.

If we understand correctly, this would be her pre-nighttime routine, which is very time consuming… so imagine in the morning.

“I’m assuming this is her nighttime routine because she just took off her makeup, but then she puts on this Rare Beauty glow under eye cream serum ($24), but it’s colored. I love the idea of this product. Honestly, it’s kind of amazing, but I’ve never used a colored eye cream like this right before I go to sleep, and now I’m wondering if I should buy it,” Darya quipped.

To finish, Gomez uses the Beauty Blender ($20) with water, which is out of the ordinary to remove her eye makeup. In Darya’s words, “she’s never seen anyone else do this before.”

A routine described as “crazy” and very expensive ($650) that left some people perplexed.

A giant squid filmed in Japan!

A giant squid of 2.5 meters long that was swimming off the west coast of the Japanese archipelago was caught on camera by two Japanese divers, completely dazzled by this scene.

Yosuke Tanaka and his wife Miki went to meet the friendly squid, when a fishing tackle salesman contacted them after spotting this huge piece near the surface.

Tanaka and Miki said the squid’s movements were not very agile, its tentacles and fins moved very slowly. It looked weak, and pieces of skin were likely coming off its body.

https://twitter.com/CNN/status/1615881756355317760

Its size and eyes, however, were striking, even frightening, according to Tanaka, who would be curious to see the squid’s strength against a whale.

The couple is very lucky to have been able to observe such a creature, since these rarely wander in the sea, they rather hang out in nearby waters.

In short, we are talking about a very rare creature about which we don’t know many things.

Man rescued from shark-filled waters!

Dylan Gartenmayer, a 22-year-old diver and spearfisherman, was on a boat with two friends when he decided to make one last dive near West Sambo Reef.

Unfortunately, he was swept away by the Gulf Stream, finding himself five miles from the Florida Keys, only to be unexpectedly rescued by his grandfather, NBC reports.

As he watched the sun set, he suddenly heard an engine approaching to pull him out of the shark-infested waters.

https://twitter.com/RyanNelsonTV/status/1617385941852901376

The young man is a deep snorkeling fanatic, and loves to dive more than “30 meters in one breath”, but this time he was swept much further away by the current.

The two friends became concerned because Gartenmayer did not come to the surface, so they immediately thought that the diver had run out of oxygen.

In short, his two friends immediately notified the U.S. Coast Guard as well as his family in order to start the search quickly, since the sun was giving way to darkness.

Remember that it was Grandpa’s boat (with his family) that spotted Dylan and was able to rescue him and bring him back on board… away from the hungry sharks.
