David Lemieux’s father randomly killed in Montreal

David Lemieux and his family are in mourning over the tragic death of the patriarch, who was randomly killed last Tuesday night.

It was the boxer himself who dropped the awful news on his Instagram account. He was concise, while sharing a photo of his father, Andre Fernand Lemieux, who was 64 years old.

David Lemieux posted a photo of his late father with his three-month-old grandson. André Fernand Lemieux seemed very happy to meet Xander, the first child of David and his wife, Olympic champion Jennifer Abel.

Lemieux told Réjean Tremblay of the Journal de Montréal that he was devastated by this dramatic event.

“I am in a state of shock. I went to see my grandmother this morning, the whole family is upset,” said the 33-year-old boxer.

Andre Fernand Lemieux was shot in the Saint-Laurent sector, when he was hit in the upper body, in front of some witnesses of the scene.

For the moment, no one has been arrested in this case.

Tiffany &Co. starts creating NFT jewelry

Will it become the next trendy accessory?

Big news in the world of jewelry and fashion: the renowned company Tiffany & Co. has announced that it will start creating NFT (non-fungible token) jewelry, and it makes you wonder if this will become the next hot accessory of the day.

However, this accessory comes with an exorbitant price tag of $50,000! In fact, in order to get the pendant, you’ll have to fork out 30 ETH in CryptoPunk currency, which is equivalent to about $50,000 USD.

Of course, the Tiffany & Co. brand is known for its expensive jewelry, and we’ll have to see if there is really a demand on the market for this kind of product. Not everyone will be able to get their hands on this jewelry, as only 250 pendants will be created by Tiffany & Co. artisans.

For this price, buyers will get a physical pendant as well as a digital copy. The pendants will have a design reminiscent of the 87 features and 159 colors that appear in non-fungible CryptoPunk tokens.

The response from customers on Twitter has been mixed. Some people are happy to see the use of non-fungible tokens by a reputable company, while others are openly critical of the pendant design.

The “lost” jewels of Elvis soon on sale

Many jewels considered “lost” having belonged to Elvis are now resurfacing. They will soon be sold at auction.

Background. At the time, Elvis Presley gave a collection of jewelry to his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. For some unknown reason, the jewelry disappeared from circulation. Nevertheless, experts and historians were well aware that these jewels were in a place on earth.

Fanatics of the King and collectors have been searching for years for this lost collection… However, thanks to Brigitte Kruse, the founder and CEO of GWS Auctions, who tracked down this unique collection, fans can finally see this one-of-a-kind set in the world.

There are no less than 200 pieces of jewelry, including gold rings, cufflinks, watches and chains. It also contains the mythical guitar that Elvis used during his televised comeback in 1968.

Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of Kings ex-wife, worked with Kruse on the collection, although Priscilla does not own any of the pieces.

“Well, it brings back memories, for sure,” Priscilla Presley told Reuters.

“There are so many products on the market that are not authentic at all and that worries me,” she said.

“I want to make sure it’s going to go to someone who’s going to take care of it, who’s going to love it.”

The pieces in this collection will be up for auction starting August 27.

Conor McGregor to make his film debut

Conor “Notorious” McGregor will be launching an acting career as a first-time movie star when he is cast in the remake of Road House on Prime Video.

McGregor will join Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role of a UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer at a very rough bar called the Road House.

The King of the Octagon will be sticking with a full cast of actors to play a fictional character and not take on his own role. For the moment, we do not know the details of his character, but McGregor will be in this version, he greatly appreciated the script.

When it is released, the film will be on Prime Video and will be shown in over 240 countries around the globe. With Conor McGregor in the cast, the film’s reach is likely to grow considerably.

Selena Gomez could be in the remake of the old movie Working Girl

Selena Gomez would be on the verge of getting the lead role in the potential remake of the film Working Girl according to information collected by the site Variety.

This romantic comedy was delivered in 1988, starring Sigourney Weaver, Joan Cusack, Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford.

The story of the 1988 film revolved around an ambitious young secretary from Staten Island. She poses as her boss after the latter is confined to bed following an accident. She took advantage of the situation to climb the ladder in Manhattan.

Although no director has yet been announced, Ilana Pena, creator of Diary of a Future President, is in charge of writing the new version.

In actuality, Variety cannot confirm that Gomez will play a role, but she is attached as a producer of the cover.

At the time, Carly Simon ‘s Let the River Run won an Oscar, and Weaver and Griffith each took home a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical.

By the way, this is one of the reasons why the Canadian star opted for her latest role in The Gray Man on Netflix, when filming allowed for a good work-life balance.

“I’m a father first and part of the reason I chose the movie [The Gray Man] was this opportunity for us to go to these interesting places and be there with my kids!” he said

Funny thing: Eva contacted her partner during an explosion scene near the hotel where the whole family was meeting to ask him when the explosions were going to stop since one of the girls had a piano lesson via ZOOM.
