Prince Harry gets another win against the press

Prince Harry has once again won his case in a libel case against the British press.

The Duke of Sussex had one this time against the daily newspaper The Daily Mail of London. The newspaper “tried to mislead the public” concluded the High Court of London and believes that we enter the field of “defamation”.

This story follows an article that falsely accused the prince of “lying”, “cynically” trying to manipulate opinion and “trying to keep secret” his appeal against the government to try to get police protection in the U.K.

In a written statement to the court in June, Prince Harry had said the case had caused him “deep hurt, embarrassment and continuing anguish.”

Prince Harry andMeghan Markle have a difficult relationship with the press in England. The latter constantly scrutinizes the couple’s actions even though they have lived in the United States since 2020.

In recent years, Harry and his wife have won a few legal victories against the press, which does not hesitate to publish invented stories to increase its income.

Tesla is no longer the champion of green vehicles

The electric vehicle brand Tesla has just been surpassed in global green vehicle sales since the beginning of 2022. The new champion of vehicles that do not emit pollutants into the atmosphere is the Chinese brand BYD.

While in North America Tesla is by far the company that sells the most electric vehicle, BYD is the world’s biggest seller. In the first six months of the year, the Chinese brand in which American billionaireWarren Buffett has invested sold 641,350 “new energy vehicles”, compared to 564,743 electric vehicles for the brand owned by the richest man on the planet Elon Musk.

By new-energy, and therefore non-polluting,vehicles, BYD adds up its sales ofelectric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

In June alone, BYD sold134,000 vehicles, according to figures released by the Chinese manufacturer, an increase of 314% over thesame period a year earlier.

BYD’s electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids are considered “zero emission” cars by Chinese industry standards.

To Tesla‘s credit, the American brand has had to endure alengthy shutdown of a key production facility in Shanghaisince early 2022 due toCOVID-19.

The Canadiens’ front office spent the evening with Shane Wright!

The Montreal Canadiens staff spent their last night before the 2022 NHL draft with presumptive first overall pick Shane Wright.

With the NHL draft just hours away at the Bell Centre in Montreal tonight (July 7), Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes, executive vice-president of field hockey operations Jeff Gorton and even team owner Geoff Molson were gathered at Moretti Griffintown restaurant.

BuzzNews

The group of CH decision-makers spent this final night before making the first-ever amateur auction selection at the restaurant with the No. 1 ranked player on the NHL roster, Kingston Frontenacs center Shane Wright.

BuzzNews

These meetings may not be insignificant with the draft just hours away, as three prospects are being tipped to be the very first selection of the auction. According to several sources, Shane Wright, Juraj Slafkovsky and Logan Cooley are the three favorite players to be drafted at the very top of the 2022 draft.

In addition to the Montreal Canadiens, the Moretti Griffintown restaurant was a popular meeting place last night. We saw former Habs GM Marc Bergevin, now a member of the Los Angeles Kings’ senior management team. He was there with Luc Robitaille, president of the Californian club. The Los Angeles Kings have the 19th pick in the first round.

BuzzNews

Another familiar face seen last night was former Colorado Avalanche player Adam Foote, who is now a member of the player representation firm KO Sports. This firm represents Shane Wright and Montreal Canadiens forward Christian Dvorak , whose name has come up frequently in recent hours in trade rumors.

While the Canadiens’ GM Kent Hughes is still keeping a lid on the very first selection of tonight’s draft, the stars seem to be aligned for center Shane Wright to be the first one called up to the stage at the Bell Centre.

Rihanna is the youngest self-made billionaire

Rihanna has just been crowned the youngest self-made billionaire.

This ranking is from Forbes magazine. However, two years ago, this title was awarded to Kylie Jenner. At the time, Forbes awarded the title following the sale of a portion of his company Kylie Cosmetics. But a few months later, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan was accused of not having accurately revealed the figures relating to his fortune.

Since then, the singer and wise businesswoman Rihanna has been successful with her businesses. She has therefore entered the prestigious list of new billionaires of the year 2021.

Rihanna was at the time ranked 1,729th on the annual list, making her the richest female musician in the world. She also became the first billionaire from Barbados.

Today, Forbes estimates Rihanna ‘s fortune at $1.4 billion!

At 34 years old, the young mother owes her fortune to her numerous retail brands: Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Savage X Fenty. The magazine awards her the title among the 100 richest women entrepreneurs, executives and artists in the United States.

Rihanna is in a class by herself. So it’s no surprise that her native Barbados has promoted her to national hero.

Meanwhile, if you wonder how much Kylie Jenner is worth today, she has to settle for a net worth of only $900 million.

And all this at the age of 24…

Brad Pitt suffers from a rare eye disease

Brad Pitt revealed in an interview that he suffers from prosopagnosia, a rare eye disease that causes difficulty or inability to recognize faces.

The Hollywood star revealed to GQ magazine that her symptoms go back a long way. It was in 2013 that Brad Pitt became aware of this neurovisual disorder.

GQ

The Oscar-winning actor for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood said he worries about appearing “distant, unapproachable and self-absorbed” when he struggles to recognize faces, according to the article in the August edition of the men’s magazine.

In 2013, when he first spoke about the condition, he told Esquire magazine at the time that “so many people hate me because they think I’m disrespectful.”

In fact, when he sees a face, Brad Pitt says that the facial features are “a mystery” to him.

He adds, “I can’t grasp a face, and yet I come from design and aesthetics… That’s why I stay home,” assures the 58-year-old star.

For years now, Brad Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie have been at war in court over various issues. The couple is in the process of divorce since 2019 and is fighting for the custody of their children. They also clash in business. The most recent dispute is in France over Chateau Miraval in Provence.
