Dustin Johnson, one of the best golfers on the planet, has decided to join the LIV Tour, a new circuit competing with the PGA Tour.

The news of the departure ofDustin Johnson, former number 1 in the world, currently ranked 13th in the world,to join the new circuit created by rich Saudis, resounds like a thunderclap in the world of professional golf.

Kalush Orchestra, the Ukrainian band that won the Eurovision 2022 music contest, sold its crystal trophy to buy drones for the Ukrainian army that is fighting the Russian invasion in its country.

On May 14,Kalush Orchestra, a Ukrainian folk-rap band won the prestigious music competition with their songStefania.

A few hours later, the six members of the group were back in Ukraine to take up arms and fight the Russian enemy.

NowKalush Orchestrahaschosen to sell its winning trophy, a crystal microphone. The band got $900,000 for its trophy from an Estonia-based cryptocurrency exchange, WhiteBit.

“We appreciate each and every one of you who donated to this auction, and a special thanks to the Whitebit team who purchased the trophy for $900,000 and are now the rightful owners of our trophy,” the group said on its Facebook page.

The funds raised byKalush Orchestra will be used to purchase the PD-2 unmanned aerial system, which includes three aircraft and a ground control station, Ukrainian TV host Serhiy Prytula said at the auction.

Mona Lisa attacked by climate activists

The Mona Lisa, the famous work byLeonardo da Vinci, was attacked yesterday (Sunday, May 29) at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

The priceless16th-centurypainting wasfortunately not damaged, authorities say.

According to witnesses present who told their stories on social media, the attacker was a young man wearing a wig who arrived at the Louvre in a wheelchair. Once in front of the 77 × 53 cm work, the man jumped up and tried to “break the bulletproof glass,” said one witness.

The assailant then “smeared cake on the glass and threw roses everywhere, before being subdued by security,” another witness said on Twitter.

Upon arrest, the assailant uttered the words, “Think of the Earth.”

“There are people who are destroying the Earth. Think about it. Artists tell you: think about the Earth. That’s why I did this,” he said.

The Louvre Museum staff quickly wiped off the cake, which had covered the bulletproof glass.

This is not the first timethe Mona Lisa has been vandalized. It was stolen in 1911 by a museum employee. In the 1950s, it was damaged in an acid attack by a vandal!
